Gateway, hosted and coordinated by the Electronic Resources and Information Technologies (ERIT) Department of the UNC Greensboro University Libraries, is a new, collaborative digital collections platform that’s hosted by the UNC Greensboro University Libraries, but the content is generated by institutions and individuals all over the region.

Currently staffed by two full-time employees, three employees shared with other departments, and several student assistants and grant-funded staff, the digitization unit handles a variety of projects for both the UNCG University Libraries and other institutions, community groups, and individuals.

David Gwynn, Associate Professor and Digitization Coordinator, heads the unit and oversees all digitized content and metadata creation. He also coordinates digitization of collections held by community partners.
